This policy explains what personal data Tripotographer Inc. (“Tripotographer”, “we”, “us”) collects through tripotographer.com, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it. The data controller is Tripotographer Inc., 2108 N St, Suite #6916, Sacramento, CA 95816, USA. If you have any question, write to [email protected].
What we collect
- Booking and contact forms: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number if you give it, the city, dates and type of shoot, and anything you write in the message.
- Photographer applications: your name, contact details, city and the information you send us about your work.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Your photos: the images we take during your session, delivered to you in a private online gallery.
- Technical data: your IP address and basic browser information, processed by our hosting and security providers to keep the site running and protect it from spam and attacks.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request, plan and carry out your photoshoot, take payment and deliver your photos (performance of a contract, or steps you asked us to take before one).
- To send the newsletter, only if you signed up for it (consent). Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site secure and working (legitimate interest).
- To meet tax and accounting obligations for completed bookings (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the people and services we need to deliver your shoot: the photographer assigned to your session, our customer management system, our email provider, our payment providers when you pay a deposit, our gallery hosting, and our website hosting and security provider (Cloudflare). Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union; we use providers that protect data under standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
Requests that do not turn into a booking are deleted within 24 months. Booking records are kept as long as tax law requires. Your online gallery stays available for the period stated on delivery, after which we may archive the photos.
How we use your photos
Your photos are yours to use, including on social media. We may show a few of them in our portfolio and on social media. If you would rather we don’t, choose the privacy option when you book or tell us at any time, and we will remove them from our own channels.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies it needs to work and to protect forms from spam. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Residents of the European Economic Area and the UK can also complain to their local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct their personal information and not to be discriminated against for using these rights; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
Children
Our booking forms are for adults. We photograph children only at the request and in the presence of their parents or guardians.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new date.
